Adding Colour to Blogosphere
This blog (Wild Women Do) was featured on the Memeburn website in an article entitled, 22 Black Bloggers You Should Be Reading.
The article seems to have raised some race-sensitive issues. I think those who comment on race are missing the point, that more people of colour are blogging. The reality is that there are still far fewer black people who know how to surf the net, let alone post critical views via blogging.
I am featured alongside people I have met and really respect, like Neo Muyanga, Thami Masemola, Lelo Boyana, Siphiwe Mpye, Kojo Baffoe, Malika Ndlovu, George Matsheke amongst other wonderful bloggers.
I am incredibly privileged to be a pART of this minority group and hope we'll all do our bit to show other people of colour how to blog their stories online and be a part of the global village.
Thanks for raising the flag Chuma Kave.
