Self-loathing is so last season...
Mafikizolo's 'Mnt'omnyama' and Chiskop's 'Umnt'omnyama' speak loudly of black people getting up and doing it for themselves, in light of the difficult circumstances that a majority of us grow up under. Even then we have a significant resilience that will have us standing firm for a long time to come. We need to guard against the dark cloud of black-on-black violence, Xenophobia and let unity reign/rain.
I'm not saying that we need to segregate ourselves further from other groups in the diverse country we have, however I believe we can't unite as a whole country when we ourselves can't come together.
Together we stand, divided we fall. Phambili!
